Paul Clark MP made his second visit to support Skip2bfit at Deanwood Primary School in Medway. Mr Clark said he was delighted to join in, despite suffering from a minor cold. He said: "We know that good exercise and healthy living helps us all, including young people, and helps us all to focus on the task ahead." Paul Clark has been a supporter of Skip2bfit since the project first visited Medway and was happy to come along for a second time to show his support to the children at Deanwood Primary. Skip2bfit is a cross curricular skipping programme incorporating science, numeracy IT and Healthy Eating. It was started in 2002 by John McCormack and has rapidly expanded so that it operates all across the UK. The programme is not just about skipping, as the use of specially designed digital counting skipping ropes motivates children to improve in all areas of the curriculum. John McCormack said on his website: "Mr Clark was a great sport and even had a go at the skipping himself. This encourages children to go home and get their own grown ups to have a go at skipping because, as we all know, skipping is for everybody, not just children. A brilliant message, well done Mr Clark." Skip2bfit has received excellent feedback from schools that have run the programme. Mr Clark said: "I hope Skip2bfit will continue to expand both here in Medway and across the UK." See more photos here
