26th Feb 2008: NEW VIDEO... Kingsnorth Plans

Kingsnorth Power Station: Is it right for the Thames Gateway?

I had a long meeting this afternoon with representatives from Greenpeace and the World Development Movement to discuss the implications proposals to let Kingsnorth Power Station burn coal for the next few decades. It ranged from a discussion on the environmental implications and the possible message that continuing with coal electricity generation would send out. Is it really what we want to be doing in the Thames Gateway when we are trying to hold this up as a becon of redevelopment?

Watch my thoughts at the end of the meeting on my new video service by clicking here!
